Baseball Game Preview: Nash Central Bulldogs vs. East Chapel Hill Wildcats

The Nash Central Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the East Chapel Hill Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Nash Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.

Nash Central took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They put the hurt on Northwest Halifax with a sharp 18-0 victory. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' most dominant win of the season so far.

Tyler Bowen was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2. Bowen is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

In other pitching news, Dylan Moseley looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Back at the plate, Nash Central got a massive performance out of Tanner Moss, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave Moss a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aiden Parks, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Meanwhile, East Chapel Hill narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Enloe 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

The win got East Chapel Hill back to even at 3-3. As for Nash Central, their record now sits at 4-2.
