            Basketball Recap: Summerfield Waldorf Mustangs vs. Point Arena Pirates        
        
		
        
        
            Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Summerfield Waldorf couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell  62-53 to the Point Arena Pirates on Saturday.
 Point Arena's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Fernando Lopez led the charge by  dropping  a double-double with 22  points and 12  boards. Lopez is  on a roll when it comes to  rebounds, as he's  now  pulled down eight or more in each of the last 15 games he's  played.  Mateo VanCleave was another key player,  putting up 19 points.
Summerfield Waldorf's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Point Arena, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record  this season.
 Summerfield Waldorf does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Point Arena, they will venture away from home to  challenge St. Vincent de Paul  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Point Arena knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully St. Vincent de Paul likes a good challenge.
