Basketball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

If Franklin was riding high fresh off their 44-16 takedown of Giltner last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Franklin Flyers were outmatched by the Shelton Bulldogs and fell 65-24. The Flyers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-15.

Despite the loss, Franklin still got an impressive performance from Johanna Haussermann, who posted seven points.

Franklin's loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Shelton, the win was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-1.

Franklin will head out on the road to square off against Elba on February 13th. As for Shelton, they will welcome Red Cloud at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Shelton's defense has only allowed 28.6 points per game this season, so Red Cloud's offense will have their work cut out for them.
