Softball Recap: Shelby Wins Going Away Against Huron

Shelby got themselves on the board against Huron on Saturday, but Huron never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Tigers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Whippets also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Peyton Bruskotter was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Braylee Sturts was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.

Shelby's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Shelby will square off against Pleasant at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Huron, they will challenge Mansfield Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
