Baseball Recap: Cinnaminson Takes a Loss

The Cinnaminson Pirates came up short against the Clearview Pioneers on Thursday and fell 4-1. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cinnaminson got a good showing from Charles Kind, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Those zero earned runs gave Kind a new career-low.

At the plate, Cinnaminson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Alessandroni, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Dylan McAndrews was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Cinnaminson's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Clearview, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cinnaminson will take on Florence Township Memorial at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates are facing the Flashes at the right time seeing as the Flashes are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Clearview, they will face off against Kingsway at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pioneers 3.4, the Dragons 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
