Softball Recap: D'Iberville Takes a Loss

If D'Iberville was feeling good fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Wayne County last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The D'Iberville Warriors took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pearl River Central Blue Devils on Thursday. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

D'Iberville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Annah Niceley, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

D'Iberville's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Pearl River Central, their win bumped their record up to 3-1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. D'Iberville will take on Picayune at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pearl River Central, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Columbia at 6:00 p.m.
