Basketball Recap: Hobart Brickies vs. Crown Point Bulldogs
Hobart lost against Crown Point back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Hobart Brickies were beaten by the Crown Point Bulldogs 60-24. While losing is never fun, the Brickies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 319th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 112th).
Crown Point found their leader in freshman Ava Richie, who posted 11 points along with seven boards and five steals. Richie has been hot, having posted four or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ivy Henderson, who went 5 of 6 on her way to 11 points and five rebounds.
Hobart has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Crown Point, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
