Softball Recap: Lapeer Comes Up Short

Lapeer couldn't beat Lake Fenton on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Lightning came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 15-7. The Lightning just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

GraceLynn Faith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That RBI was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Breana Fantin, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Lapeer's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Lake Fenton, they pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Lapeer will face off against Powers Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lake Fenton, they will venture away from home to take on Swartz Creek at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
