Walnut hasn't had much luck against Chino recently, but that could start to change  on Friday. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Cowboys  at 7:00  p.m.
Walnut is headed into the  contest out to prove that what happened against Diamond Bar  on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Mustangs lost  30-7 to the Brahmas.
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Chino). They blew past Covina 49-27 on Friday. With the Cowboys ahead  35-14 at the half, the  game was all but over already.
 Chino's win came from a few key players Walnut will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was  Markell Monroe, who picked up 183 receiving yards and three  scores. He was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 62 yards. Another player making a difference was  Nathan Bull, who rushed for 159 yards and one  touchdown while picking up 8.8 yards per carry.
 The  victory made it two in a row for Chino and  bumps their season record up to 2-4. The  wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 41.5 points over those games. As for Walnut, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
