Basketball Recap: Hamlin Takes a Loss

Hamlin lost against Jayton back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hamlin Pied Pipers lost 46-21 to the Jayton Jaybirds. While losing is never fun, the Pied Pipers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 984th, while the Jaybirds are ranked 484th).

Hamlin has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Jayton, they pushed their record up to 18-11 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Hamlin has already played their next match (against Aspermont), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Jayton has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Paint Creek.
