Chesapeake had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Northeast Eagles. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-12, 25-20.

Gillian Price paced Chesapeake's offense, picking up 12 kills. Price got some help from Corinne Brandts and her 11 assists. Sarah Wheeler and Emily Curtin kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with five aces apiece.

Chesapeake's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Northeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Chesapeake and Meade will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northeast, they will venture away from home to take on Great Mills at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
