Basketball Game Preview: Leesville Wampus Cats vs. Pleasant Hill Eagles

The Leesville Wampus Cats are taking a road trip to take on the Pleasant Hill Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leesville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.6 points per game this season.

Leesville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They secured a 75-70 W over Simpson on Thursday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Wampus Cats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Broncos are ranked 16th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Leesville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shyann McCummings, who posted 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malaya Williams, who earned 15 points.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Hill didn't have too much trouble with Livonia two weeks ago as they won 63-47. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Pleasant Hill's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Leesville, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
