Basketball Recap: Brighton Takes a Loss

Brighton lost against Westminster back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Brighton Bulldogs came up short against the Westminster Wolves, falling 45-22. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Naomi Saldana, who posted 22 points and four steals for Westminster. That makes it three consecutive games in which Saldana has scored at least a third of Westminster's points. Desiree Stoddard was another key player, putting up five points in addition to 11 rebounds and five steals.

Brighton's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Westminster, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brighton will challenge Northglenn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westminster, they will take on Boulder at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
