Soccer Recap: Crossville's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

After soaring to six goals the game before, Crossville was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They came up short against the Fort Payne Wildcats, falling 3-0. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Lions couldn't quite close it out.

The loss snapped Crossville's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-2 record. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four contests. As for Fort Payne, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crossville will venture away from home to face off against Homewood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Payne, they will face off against Gadsden City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gadsden City will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Fort Payne surely won't give up without a fight.
