Soccer Recap: Newport Comes Up Short

Newport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Lakeside Eagles, falling 5-0. If Newport were looking for revenge after losing 5-1 to Lakeside when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Newport's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Lakeside, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Newport has already played their next match, a 5-1 defeat against Medical Lake on the 27th. As for Lakeside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Riverside on the 27th.
