Baseball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Jackson South Side

Jackson South Side waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Jackson North Side Indians get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Not much got past Miller Hornsby, who gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Jackson North Side off the board. Hornsby has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Corbin Fesmire was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Luke Benson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
