Basketball Recap: Trinity Takes a Loss

Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Eastern Guilford Wildcats and fell 47-18.

Despite the loss, Trinity saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mya Hooker posted seven points along with nine boards and six blocks. Hooker has become a key player for Trinity: the team is 4-2 when she posts at least three blocks, but 2-5 otherwise.

Trinity now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Eastern Guilford, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.

Trinity has already played their next game, a 53-14 victory against Chatham Charter on the 28th. As for Eastern Guilford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 51-15 win against Asheboro on the 28th.
