Shakamak is 8-2 against White River Valley since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:30 p.m. Shakamak will be strutting in after a victory while White River Valley will be coming in after a loss.

Shakamak will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Marshall, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. Shakamak wrapped up 2024 with a 58-41 win over Marshall. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lakers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, White River Valley lost to Mitchell on the road by a 57-42 margin last Saturday. The Wolverines have struggled against the Bluejackets recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

White River Valley now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Shakamak, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

Shakamak was able to grind out a solid victory over White River Valley when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 72-64. The rematch might be a little tougher for Shakamak since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
