Baseball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Liberty Christian Academy lost against Jones back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Liberty Christian Academy Heat came up short against the Jones Trojans, falling 12-2. The Heat have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Conner Taylor was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Five bases. while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Houston, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Liberty Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Jones, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4.

Liberty Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jones at 4:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Jones, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Bethel Christian Academy on the 14th.
