Volleyball Recap: Sierra Canyon's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sierra Canyon waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Cornerstone Christian Warriors. The Trailblazers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Hanna McGinest paced Sierra Canyon's offense, picking up 15 kills. McGinest got some help from Lucky Fasavalu and her 23 assists. Fasavalu was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Sierra Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Cornerstone Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Sierra Canyon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Byron Nelson on the 15th. As for Cornerstone Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Huntington Beach on the 15th.
