Basketball Recap: Devon Cook's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mohave over Bradshaw Mountain

Mohave lost against Bradshaw Mountain back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The contest between the Mohave Thunderbirds and the Bradshaw Mountain Bears didn't end well, with the Mohave Thunderbirds falling 72-56. The Thunderbirds just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Mohave's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Devon Cook, who posted 21 points. The dominant performance gave Cook a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Kingzten Bristol, who had 21 points.

Bradshaw Mountain got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Blasczyk out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards. Blasczyk is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last seven games he's played. Cam Ranniker was another key player, going 5 of 10 en route to 17 points.

Mohave's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Bradshaw Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 16-10.

Mohave has already played their next game, a 55-50 victory against Lee Williams on the 6th. As for Bradshaw Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 49-46 defeat against Coconino on the 6th.
