Preview: Fruita Monument Wildcats vs. Eaglecrest Raptors
Fruita Monument has been on the road for three straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Eaglecrest Raptors at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, everything went Fruita Monument's way against Uintah as Fruita Monument made off with a 45-21 win.
Fruita Monument can attribute much of their success to Mckenzie Mason, who scored 15 points. Olivia Campbell was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Eaglecrest has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 23 points or more this season. They blew past Prairie View, posting a 64-28 win on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Eaglecrest.
Their wins bumped Fruita Monument to 3-0 and Uintah to 2-3.
Fruita Monument strolled past Eaglecrest in their previous matchup back in February of 2019 by a score of 42-23. Does Fruita Monument have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eaglecrest turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
