Softball Game Preview: Southwick Regional Rams vs. Granby Rams

Southwick Regional is 8-2 against Granby since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Southwick Regional will head out to face off against Granby at 4:00 p.m. Granby took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Southwick Regional, who comes in off a win.

Southwick Regional made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Sabis International, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Rams put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 12-1 win on Friday. The Rams' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Granby might've scored the first runs on Thursday, but it was Palmer who claimed the real prize. The Rams fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 24-23. Rams fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Panthers since on Thursday.

The victory got Southwick Regional back to even at 2-2. As for Granby, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Southwick Regional might still be hurting after the 30-10 loss they got from Granby in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can Southwick Regional avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
