Volleyball Game Preview: Durham Trojans vs. Trinity Wolves + Official Tickets

The Durham Trojans will challenge the Trinity Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Durham is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering East Nicolaus just ended the team's seven-match winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 3-0. Considering the last time the Trojans couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Trinity came up short against Etna on Thursday and fell 3-1.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Etna scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 21-25, 25-21.

Durham's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 28-5. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-12.

Durham took their victory against Trinity in their previous matchup back in August by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
