Basketball Recap: Franklin Classical School Comes Up Short

Franklin Classical School played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Boyd Christian Broncos, falling 52-29. The Knights have struggled against the Broncos recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

It was another big night for Brooke Kesey, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 boards for Boyd Christian. Cydney Perry was another key player, putting up four points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Franklin Classical School now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Boyd Christian, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.

Franklin Classical School will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Boyd Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 27th. As for Boyd Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Dickson Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Boyd Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51 points per game this season.
