Softball Recap: Providence Cristo Rey Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Providence Cristo Rey won the last time they faced Indianapolis Crispus Attucks and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 22-6 margin over the Tigers. That's two games straight that the Wolves have won by exactly 16 runs.

Camila Torres made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Torres was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.

In other batting news, Tina Tackett was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Mya Carrol, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Providence Cristo Rey always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .609. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
