South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Primero Bulldogs.

South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 24-26, 25-16, 25-21, 18-16.

Sarah Elmore paced South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett]'s offense, picking up 38 kills. Elmore got some help from Eliana Gutierrez and her 33 assists. Finally, Elmore was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.

South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett]'s win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Primero, the loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 12-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] will square off against Holly at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Primero, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mountain Valley at 1:00 p.m. The Bulldogs are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
