Softball Game Preview: Atlantic City Vikings vs. Atlantic County Institute of Tech

The Atlantic City Vikings will venture away from home to square off against Atlantic County Institute of Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Atlantic City lost 12-1 to Williamstown on Wednesday. The Vikings have struggled against the Braves recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Atlantic City saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayla Barrie, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Atlantic County Institute of Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against Middle Township, falling 7-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which Atlantic County Institute of Tech was not able to get on the board.

Atlantic City now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Atlantic County Institute of Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

Atlantic City suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Atlantic County Institute of Tech in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
