Basketball Game Preview: Thayer Central Titans vs. Sutton Mustangs

The Thayer Central Titans will challenge the Sutton Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Thayer Central turned things around against Centennial on Friday. They snuck past the Broncos with a 45-39 win.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Thayer Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Murphy Sudbeck, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 11 points and seven rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Sudbeck now owns an excellent 45.4% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Brady Degenhardt, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, Sutton beat Sandy Creek 59-52 on Thursday.

Sutton's record now sits at 10-7. As for Thayer Central, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-14.

Things could have been worse for Thayer Central, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-35 loss to Sutton in their previous meeting back in January. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
