Baseball Game Preview: La Grande Tigers vs. Baker/Powder Valley Bulldogs

La Grande has gone 8-2 against Baker/Powder Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Tigers will square off against the Bulldogs at 2:00 p.m.

La Grande lost 11-2 to Pendleton on Friday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Buckaroos recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Baker/Powder Valley and Ontario have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Bulldogs beat the Tigers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

La Grande's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Baker/Powder Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

La Grande came out on top in a nail-biter against Baker/Powder Valley when the teams last played on April 9th, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
