Horn has gone a perfect 4-0 against Skyline recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Jaguars will head out to face off against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Horn has eight straight victories, Skyline has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Tuesday, Horn was able to grind out a solid win over Cedar Hill, taking the game 10-6. That's two games straight that the Jaguars have won by exactly four runs.

Hailey Martinez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zoie Armstrong, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Stormi Medina, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Horn was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They are a perfect 15-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Skyline didn't have quite enough to beat DeSoto on Tuesday and fell 19-18. Even if the Raiders couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Evelyn Ipina was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniela Delgado, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her six plate appearances.
Horn pushed their record up to 20-9-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Horn has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .462. However, it's not like Skyline struggles in that department as they've averaged .434. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Horn took their win against Skyline in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jaguars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
