Volleyball Recap: Stratford Gets the Win

The Stratford Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Tomahawk Hatchets on Thursday.

Stratford was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 20-25, 15-25, 25-15, 17-15.

Lila Yoder was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 12 digs and six aces. Those 12 digs gave her a new career-high.

Stratford's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Tomahawk, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stratford will venture away from home to square off against Assumption at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers are facing the Royals at the right time seeing as the Royals are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Tomahawk, they will square off against Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
