Recap: McAllen Bulldogs vs. Rowe Warriors
The McAllen Bulldogs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They really took it to Rowe for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-36 victory at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as McAllen also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
McAllen's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was D'aundre Canada, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was Canada's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Ramirez, who scored 13 points along with five assists.
McAllen has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Rowe, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-9.
McAllen will head out on the road to face off against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 944th, while McAllen is ranked 440th). As for Rowe, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pioneer at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Pioneer focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
