Football Recap: Mojave Falls Despite Big Games from S'marion Coleman and Rajahn Butler + How To Watch

If Mojave was riding high fresh off their 42-6 takedown of Eldorado last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rattlers took a 28-14 bruising from the Shadow Ridge Mustangs on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Rattlers in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost five in a row.

Mojave's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of RaJahn Butler, who rushed for 99 yards and one score on only 11 carries, and S'Marion Coleman, who picked up 93 receiving yards and one TD. Coleman got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 75 yards.

Mojave's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Shadow Ridge, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Mojave will host Pinecrest Academy Cadence at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rattlers will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 47.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
