Recap: St.Ignace Saints vs. Inland Lakes Bulldogs
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the St.Ignace Saints can now relate to. They fell to Inland Lakes 40-36. St.Ignace's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Aidan Fenstermaker was on fire for Inland Lakes: he rushed for 386 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 74 yards and three touchdowns. Fenstermaker's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Willey, who picked up 42 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
St.Ignace's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Inland Lakes, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
St.Ignace does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Inland Lakes will face off against Pickford at TBD on Saturday. Pickford is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
