Baseball Recap: Middle Tennessee Monarchs Takes a Loss

Middle Tennessee Monarchs lost against Oklahoma City Broncos HomeSchool back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Middle Tennessee Monarchs took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oklahoma City Broncos HomeSchool.

Jackson Whittimore was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Middle Tennessee Monarchs saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bishop Vines, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Wyatt Harrison was another, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Middle Tennessee Monarchs has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-19 record this season. As for Oklahoma City Broncos HomeSchool, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-10-2.
