Basketball Recap: Blue Mountain Comes Up Short

Blue Mountain lost against Walnut back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Blue Mountain Cougars were dealt a 58-21 loss at the hands of the Walnut Wildcats. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Blue Mountain's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Walnut, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Blue Mountain Cougars face off against the Jumpertown Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Blue Mountain is facing Jumpertown at the right time seeing as Jumpertown is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Walnut, they will face off against East Union at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Walnut knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully East Union likes a good challenge.
