Basketball Recap: Hillcrest Comes Up Short

Hillcrest lost against Greenwood two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hillcrest Rams took a 64-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greenwood Eagles. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Greenwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cj Terrell, who went 8-for-9 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds. What's more, Terrell also posted a 89% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Jeremiah Brooks was another key player, going 5-for-11 en route to 14 points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Greenwood, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-11.

Hillcrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greenwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Greenville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Greenville will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something Greenwood surely won't give up without a fight.
