Volleyball Recap: University Prep Comes Up Short

If University Prep was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Center Line Prep last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers came up short against the Chavez Academy Aztec Eagles on Monday, falling 3-0. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Aztec Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2016.

University Prep has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Chavez Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-12.

University Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chavez Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Edison Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Aztec Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
