Football Game Preview: Passaic Indians vs. Passaic County Tech Bulldogs

Passaic hasn't had much luck against Passaic County Tech recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Indians will challenge the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Passaic County Tech will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Passaic extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Indians blew past Kennedy, posting a 37-6 win. That 31 point margin sets a new team best for the Indians this season.

It was another big night for Justin Griffin, who rushed for 133 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Edwin Hidalgo was in the mix too, providing Passaic with two TDs.

Passaic's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB ten times. The heavy lifting was done by Jose Almonte and Jordan Carrasco Fuentes, who racked up five sacks between them. Another thorn in Kennedy's side was Ryan Valdez, who picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Passaic County Tech took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-12 victory over Clifton. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bulldogs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Mustangs are ranked 228th).

Passaic now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Passaic County Tech, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Passaic couldn't quite get it done against Passaic County Tech in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 27-14. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
