Basketball Recap: San Jose Prep Takes a Loss

San Jose Prep's tournament run continued when they took on Christ Church Episcopal on Thursday. The San Jose Prep Storm took a 67-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christ Church Episcopal Cavaliers. While losing is never fun, the Storm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 485th in Florida, while the Cavaliers are ranked 32nd in South Carolina).

Christ Church Episcopal got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Adam Brown out in front who posted 14 points along with seven boards and five assists. Jonathan Perry was another key player, putting up 12 points.

San Jose Prep dropped their record down to 4-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Christ Church Episcopal, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

San Jose Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-62 loss against Legion Collegiate Academy on the 3rd. As for Christ Church Episcopal, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 75-67 victory against Carolina Forest on the 3rd.
