Collierville took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Houston, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Dragons had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 3-1. While the Dragons didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Collierville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Houston, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Collierville will welcome Millington Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Houston, they will take on Covington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
