Volleyball Recap: Mojave Mustangs vs. Lone Pine Golden Eagles
Mojave lost against Lone Pine back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mustangs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Eagles. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 25-27, 25-12.
Lone Pine's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Camila Martinez led the charge by getting six digs and two aces. That's the most digs Martinez has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Yesenia Alegre, who had 16 kills and eight digs.
Mojave's loss dropped their record down to 5-11-1. As for Lone Pine, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-11-2.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mojave will challenge rival Owens Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Lone Pine is set to square off against their familiar foe Trona at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
