Basketball Recap: Woodruff Comes Up Short

Woodruff lost against Broome back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Woodruff Wolverines took a 48-34 bruising from the Broome Centurions. The contest marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Broome's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chris Miller, who posted ten points along with five assists and five rebounds. Those five boards gave Miller a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Ramirez, who earned 12 points and six rebounds.

Woodruff's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Broome, their record now sits at 10-11.

Woodruff wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-52 victory against Greer Middle College on the 31st. As for Broome, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-33 defeat against Union County on the 31st.
