Towns County skates past Lincoln County with ease

Recap: Towns County Indians vs. Lincoln County Red Devils

The Towns County Indians can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They blew past Lincoln County, posting a 64-26 victory at home. Given Towns County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while Lincoln County is ranked 452nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Towns County to victory were Kaleigh Beaver and Brelan Sieveking. Beaver scored 18 points along with seven rebounds, while Sieveking scored 22 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Emma Lallement, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.

Towns County pushed their record up to 12-5 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28 points. As for Lincoln County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Towns County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Aquinas at 5:00 p.m. on January 20th. Hopefully Aquinas focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 last Tuesday. As for Lincoln County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lake Oconee Academy at 6:00 p.m.
