Soccer Recap: Benjamin Davis Takes a Loss

Benjamin Davis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Aldine Mustangs, falling 9-1. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 725th, while the Mustangs are ranked 327th).

Benjamin Davis' loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Aldine, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Benjamin Davis will welcome Westfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Benjamin Davis has given up an average of 6.5 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Aldine, they will be playing at home against Eisenhower at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Aldine will be up against Eisenhower's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.15 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
