Basketball Recap: Chester's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

Chester won the last time they faced Buford and things went their way on Friday too. The Chester Cyclones took down the Buford Yellow Jackets 57-40.

Several Yellow Jackets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gage McManus, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 19 boards. The dominant performance gave McManus a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tre Henderson, who posted seven points.

Chester's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Buford, they dropped their record down to 2-3 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Chester didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 84-49 defeat against Union County on the 16th. As for Buford, they will be playing at home against Chesterfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
