Baseball Recap: Rootstown Comes Up Short

Rootstown and Lake Center Christian squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Rootstown had to settle for second. They lost 10-0 to the Tiger. The Rovers haven't had much luck with the Tiger recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Rootstown's defeat dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Lake Center Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-4 record this season.

Rootstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake Center Christian, they will face off against Kirtland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tiger's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
