Basketball Game Preview: East Mecklenburg Eagles vs. Hopewell Titans + How To Watch

The East Mecklenburg Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Hopewell Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

East Mecklenburg is leaving town to face Hopewell after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Eagles took a 70-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harding University on Friday.

Meanwhile, Hopewell had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They secured a 74-70 W over Mallard Creek. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Mavericks: they've now won eight in a row.

East Mecklenburg came up short against Hopewell when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 71-60. Thankfully for the Eagles, Mike Brown (who shot 86% from beyond the arc on his way to 23 points in addition to five assists and three steals) won't be suiting up this time.
