Nokomis came tearing into Wednesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.1 points) and they left with even more momentum. They secured a 58-54 W over the Jersey Panthers. For the Redskins, this counts as revenge for the 64-47 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Nokomis' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alivia Sabol, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards. Natalie Brownback was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Jersey lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Meredith Gray, who went 7 of 16 on her way to 19 points and six rebounds. Gray continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Kribs, who went 5 for 9 en route to 10 points and five steals.

Nokomis is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Jersey, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.

Nokomis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-34 loss against Calhoun/Brussels on the 30th. As for Jersey, they will head out to challenge Staunton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jersey has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
